PETRA TERZI
Petra Terzi holds a degree in Business Administration and has pursued studies in Greek Culture, Life Coaching, as well as directing, writing, and producing digital cinema films. Her films, produced between 2016 and 2019, have gained recognition in over 60 international festivals, receiving awards and securing finalist positions in more than 20 international Film Festivals.
( Petra’s debut educational short film, “Studio — To Belong to Yourself,” was selected at the 69th Cannes Film Festival in May 2016. She obtained her MA in digital video production at Neapolis University in Cyprus with the documentary film “She Should Run-Cyprus,” addressing empowerment, women’s equality, human rights, diversity, and the aftermath of the war in Cyprus. Petra also wrote the script for “49 years later” and directed the documentary film trilogy “Roses Trilogy,” exploring themes related to refugees and vulnerable groups.)
Currently, Petra has several feature films in pre-production, including “Emergence,” a medical drama thriller based on the novel by Michalis Kokkinaris; “Butterfly’s Dizziness,” a psychological love drama based on her script; “Round Red Candy,” a romantic drama, and “My Name is Nana,” inspired by the true story of a girl with special abilities.
Since 2000, Petra has been actively involved in producing cultural events with international dimensions, collaborating with figures such as Kevin Costner and Michael Bolton in Greece and Cyprus. She possesses extensive experience in remote event management and volunteering.
Petra is the founder of the film distribution and promotion platform Inspire-TV.com and established the Cyprus International Film Festival in 2006 and the Bridges International Film Festival in Greece in 2008. Both festivals have received recognition for their quality from the European Union EFFE. Petra is a member of the Society of Greek Directors, the Union of Cypriot Directors, the organization “Women in Film and Television” in Greece, and NYWIFT (Women in Film and Television) in New York. She serves as a film judge at the Jaipur International Film Festival in India and the Cellphone Humanitarian Festival-Cannes. Additionally, Petra is a visiting professor at the University of Communication in Nanjing, China, and a founding member of the organization “Women in Cinema and Television in Cyprus” (CYWIFT).
