On Wednesday, July 5th, an event took place on the Bounty boat in the Alimos Marina — an award ceremony for Mr. Nikolaos T. Pagonis, the Greek expatriate of the year 2023.
Mr. Pagonis is an author and the president of the Greek Community of Greater Montreal.
The award was co-organized by the Association of Greek Foreign Press Correspondents and sportsmed world. The event was attended by a large number of people, including representatives from the Canadian and Australian embassies, as well as ministers from the Greek government.
At the end of the event, Mr. Pagonis signed copies of his new book titled “Diegoumai,” followed by cocktails for the attendees. Notable figures in attendance were Nikolaos T. Pagonis (writer and president of the Hellenic Community of Major Hellenism, Montreal),
Steve Georganas (Australian Federal Member of Parliament), Georgios Patoulis (Regional Governor of Attica), Georgios Noulas (founding lawyer P.A.D.E. — internationalist), and Nikos Papathanasis (Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance).
